JD - 2000 Bay Gelding

Back top Top ↑

"JD" is a deep cinching 15.0H gelding that can pull like a John Deere!  Chris has been heading on this horse since January 2010.  He's a level-headed horse that's got lots of try, runs real flat, and stays nice and wide to give a great handle.  Currently roping fresh cattle in the practice pen.  This horse is heading steers nicely.

Price:  $6,500

Sabrinas Ruf Boy - 2005 Bay Gelding

Back top Top ↑

Cheap, but not without vices...  This horse has a nice handle on him and a good stop.  He's the type to get tight and sull up when things are pushed to him.  He's been used on the ranch quite a bit, we use him to flag out colts, but he hasn't taken to roping very well.  He'll be the type to bronc around and be tight when asked too much at once.

Price:  $1,500

Tuffys Zan Chex - 2005 Buckskin Gelding

Grandson of Tuf N Busy!  "Teddy" is a stout buckskin gelding.  He's real balanced, broad across the back and a big stop.  A gelding out of Doug Wilkinson's "Tuff n Busy" stud.  He's a  nice soggy colt that's got a good mind and lots of cow.  We call him "Teddy" because of his frost-tipped ears make him look like a real teddy bear!

Currently heeling steers and was taken to Arizona for the month of February to rope on.  Ready for small jackpots and has been ridden by beginner rider to sort pairs in the calving pen.

Dino-Mite - 2005 Sorrel Mare

Daughter of Sonics Mist!  "Dino" is a cowbred/running QH filly.  She shows some growth, a pretty head set, and the ability to get in the ground.  Started as a 4yr old, has roped the Heel-o-Matic, and is heeling slower live steers.  Been used inside and outside the arena.  Has been team penned off early in 2010.

Update:  Chris has started heading at the jackpots off this mare.

Price:  $5,000
