Colt Starting
-
Colts are started
with ground work basics, and are usually riding by the second or third day.
Our aim for the first month is to have quiet
colts that are reining well in a snaffle, trotting and loping circles, will stop on command, and will suit the type of work needed by the
owner.
Chris's program is built
on the principles of making the colt comfortable so they aim to please their
rider. There has been a great deal of success
with this program, where the majority of colts will not attempt to buck
while ridden for the first time. Colts become soft, supple, and quiet
- making them very trainable and easy for owners to take home to their own
programs.
General Training: $750/month
(plus GST)

No longer
starting horses above the age of 3yrs old.
Rope Horse Training: $1000/month (plus GST)
